High School Diploma with Honors from Stillwater Area High School in Minnesota. I will be an incoming freshman at Southern Oregon University intending to major in Outdoor Adventure Leadership. My GPA throughout high School was a 3.75. I have been on the A-honor roll every year since 7th grade.
Experience
I have not had previous formal tutoring experience. I have always been a very dedicated student that loves to learn for life, not for a test. I would like to be a tutor because it would provide me with a job throughout my college years, as well help youth gain knowledge. I have taken Enriched and AP English courses every year since 9th grade. I have taken, and received A's in all of the following: Philosophy, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, US history, World History, AP English and Composition, AP English and literature, Earth Science, Physical Science, US Government, and Economics. My strongest subjects that I feel I could best tutor a student in are Economics, Algebra, English, Writing, and History. I have received "Student of the Month" various times throughout my high school career, always received great grades, and was a friendly student to share class with.

My two passions are nature and music! I love to play guitar and sing, as well as hike, backpack, kayak, climb, white water rafting, and anything adventurous. I am from Minnesota so I grew up playing hockey and loving the snow! I also played softball throughout my childhood and high school years. I am a big sports nut and enjoy physical activity. I really enjoy philosophy. Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson are my two favorites because of their transcendentalist views. I am a non denominational Christian and attend church regularly. I am a charismatic girl with a passion for people, especially youth, and I hope I get a chance to learn with your child someday!
